Games of Veszprém – Children Festivals in Hungary!

The 12nd „Games of Veszprém” International Art Festival is going to be organized between 07-11th October 2010, in one of the most beautiful place of Hungary, in the historic town, Veszprem.

This festival has been organised annually since 1999, and since 2006 in the spring another contest has been organizing too, named: Spring Games for whom who would like to visit Hungary in the springtime. Since then more and more participants spend here these five days year by year, so up to now 3 continent, 20 countries and more then 10,000 participants could perform at „Games of Veszprém” and „Spring Games”.

Games of Veszpremis a competiton between the children and youth of Europe and not only: from 2010 besides the 6-22 years old children and youth, also elder people (soloist or artictic groups) in categories for adults can apply for the Festival in choreographic, vocal, instrumental, circus and acrobatic, dancing and moving artistic genre. An international jury will decide about the performances and choose the best productions for the gala in Veszprém and Budapest.

Our aim is to help the European children, youth, adults and and cultures meeting and knowing each other, presentation of the creative achievements for the art groups and soloists, to search for new talents, involving the leading specialists of art and culture of the countries-participants to the work with them, and to consolidate friendships for the participants of the festival.

Besides the competition children have the possibilities to get to interesting places, we organise trips for them and they can become acquainted with the outskirts of Lake Balaton and with Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Every group (over 10 people) will have an interpreter and a tourist guide because there will be several sightseeing tours around.

It is also a speciality that the partecipants will be accomodated in the cities by the Lake Balaton or in the „Town of the Queens”: Veszprém, so there will be a beautiful environment to enjoy themselves, relax and prepare for the competition.

The partecipation fee is only 160 euro/person (which includes: 5 days/4 nights, 4 breakfast, 5 lunch, 4 dinner, interpreter for each group over 10 people, excursion programs. You have to manage travel independently - over 40 people partecipation of the 2 bus drivers is free!)
